Disney Day 3 Part 1-Magic Kingdom

Today was EMH at the Magic Kingdom in the morning and it was Grammy and Grandpa's first day, so that's where we were headed! We said bye to Daddy on his way to golf:

Then got on a bus to the MK.

I was thinking since it was EMH and we got up early to be there, we should hit some of the "popular" rides, but Gavin (King of the Universe) insisted on riding those stupid car things. For the record, I hate everything about that ride, including the line. Anyway, per usual, the 4 year old won the battle and Autopia is was:

Our (or Gavin's) favorite pal Stitch was outside, so we made a quick stop there to say Hi:

Then, some Buzz, Snow White and Philharmagic. I love this show! For the first time, Gavin kept his glasses on the whole time! It was pretty fun to watch him reaching for things as they came at him. :)

By the time that was done, it was too late for Dumbo. (that line was ri-dic-u-lous) So, fake Dumbo picture it was:

By now, we were starting to get hungry. I had wanted to try out Pinocchio's Village Haus-Small World is Grammy's favorite ride and I thought she might enjoy sitting up there eating lunch and seeing a different view. Well, it was closed for
30 more minutes so we decided to go ahead and ride Small World then come back. Talk about great timing, we walked right on the ride and when we got off who should be waiting for us but the Dream Team! Yea! We got Dream Fast Passes to use for the day!!

We were so excited! Needless to say or plan for the day changed. We were originally only going to stay until lunch time because we expected the park to get pretty crowded. Now, it didn't matter-we got to go to the front of the lines! So fun!
We did Jungle Cruise, Pirates and then ran into Hook & Smee: (holy junk around my neck!)

Then, over to Splash Mtn and Gavin got his first ride on Big Thunder (which ended up being his favorite of the whole trip even though he looks scared out of his mind in this picture)

Here's proof that Lily was there too:

After all that, we decided to head back to the hotel for a little rest before going to MGM for the afternoon. We had such a good time-I would highly recommend the Dream Fast Passes! :)

Easter Bunny Day

That's what Gavin kept saying today was. Easter Bunny Day. Funny kid. The pictures that they (the offical EB people) took turned out so cute! These ones are cute too I guess :)

I love the warm days that are starting to show up!

Disney Day 2 Me and the Kids on Our Own!

This trip actually started out as a golf trip for Anthony and his buddies. He asked if I wanted to come with the kids, but let me know that golfing was the plan. Boo hiss. The idea of me and 2 kids alone (while he was golfing) at WDW trying to do rides and buses and swimming was not appealing. At all. And I love me some Disney. Luckily my parents decided to come along, and golf trip turned into family trip after all! (To Anthony's credit, he only golfed one round a day, when I know he would have loved to do 2) Anyway, they wouldn't be here until day 3, so I had one day on my own. I decided to make a reservation for a late breakfast at Ohana's at the Poly. I figured I'd let Gavin and Lily sleep as long as they wanted and be able to get up slowly and waste a good part of the day in the process. Also, by going to the Poly, I could load them in the car, something I do several times a day, and not have to deal with the bus.
The meal at Ohana's is a character breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

The Big Cheese: (sorry the picture isn't the best I don't think the flash went off)

Gotta have some Mickey Waffles:

A couple of Stitches:

Sweet Lilo:

Gavin in the parade: (again no flash, stupid camera)

Breakfast was yummy and fun.

I can't believe how much food they brought us!

During breakfast I gave Gavin a couple of choices of things we could do until Daddy was done. He decided he wanted to ride the monorail to the MK and we could just walk around (without the rain!) and meet some characters. I told him he would have to walk which didn't make him too happy, but he said he would be fine with that. Easy enough.
We saw a little (and I mean little) parade on Main Street:

Rode Buzz Lightyear:

A cute picture of the tree/bush thing all done up for the Pirate Parties:

It was pretty chilly today and we didn't stay too long, but it was a perfect morning and things went better than I would have thought.

On a side note, Gavin really got into the pin trading this trip. Here is a picture of his lanyard that first day. It's amazing how much it changed by the end. :)

Disney Trip Day 1

Feb.26-Travel Day
For this trip to Orlando, we had enough miles to fly all of us for FREE on Frontier-even Lily got her own seat. Well, if you've ever redeemed miles you know that sometimes your options are less than stellar, as was the case in planning this trip. But, I must say-our flight times going down were perfect! (coming home not so much) We left Denver at 8:00am and landed in Orlando at 1:30pm. The nice part about leaving so early was we didn't have to sit around all day waiting to go! The kids were both super good on the plane.

We stepped off the plane and instantly felt the warmth and humidity, it felt so good on our cold, dry skin.
We spent the next couple of hours getting our car, stopping at the store and checking in to our hotel. We decided to stay at the Port Orleans Riverside at Disney again. We'd been there before and really liked it, this time was no different! Absolutely beautiful. You'll have to take my word for it-I forgot to take a picture.
Tonight we had tickets to the Pirate & Princess Party at the Magic Kingdom. Here's my little Pirate:

We get all ready and loaded in the car (which I know better than to do when going to the MK-always use the bus...) and literally on the short way there, it started to rain. And I mean RAIN! We waited in the car for a tram, then braved the storm to get on the stupid thing. WOW, we got soaked! Anthony kept asking what I was thinking, but I'll tell you- I was thinking that I spent an extra $150.00 to go to this party, and by golly we were going! Surely this little storm wouldn't last long. Yeah right.
We went on Pirates of the Caribbean (Lily's 1st ride!) and went to meet the Captain:

Gavin and I rode Splash Mountain (his first time!) and that was it-I couldn't put my kiddos though this torture any more. Although, Lily stayed nice and dry in her stroller. Back through the rain, and the tram etc...

5 months already?!

I can't believe it! This past month went by so fast! Lily did very good on her first airplane trip, no Benadryl required! ;) She still doesn't have much hair, although it is covered up by this "grandma" hat (according to Gavin).

As you can see, she is still a fan of sticking out her tongue!

What is wrong with this picture?

I will give a report on our super-fun trip soon, but for now-can you spot something wrong in this picture?

10%

Yea! I got my 10% award from Weight Watchers before we left for our trip! Meaning, I lost 10% of my weight. (Since vacation I've probably gained some back...) One goal down, one more to go!!
